Ericsson´s MINI-LINK solutions offer you a way of boosting the traffic-carrying capabilities of your network that balances physical link capacity upgrades with sophisticated traffic handling techniques. You get the right balance between cost and performance – always with the ability to leverage existing infrastructure and evolve in line with changing needs. The MINI-LINK TN (Traffic Node) system enables you to create highly flexible aggregation nodes at key points in your network – reducing capacity needs higher up in the network and enabling interworking between a range of transmission technologies. It provides integrated traffic routing of up to 800 Mbit/s capacity, and combines PDH and SDH multiplexing, as well as node- and network-level protection mechanisms. Like all new MINI-LINK hardware, it is also prepared for packet data transmission, ready to deal with the increasing volumes of data traffic and deliver additional statistical multiplexing gains. MINI-LINK radio units are also network-ready, in terms of their ability to respond to changing needs. They can be configured for the required operating frequency and capacity when installed and, thanks to their capacity agility, can be upgraded under software control to higher capacities in the same frequency bands in line with traffic demand. There are a number of protection options available for MINI-LINK. These include everything from network-level ring protection, through redundant system architecture and microwave propagation protection, to line and equipment protection. |
