Paradise Valley School District completes Wireless Backbone Project
By Steve CarenderPHOENIX, AZ- MapleNet, Inc. has completed its engineering and construction management contract with Paradise Valley Schools for a new high capacity wireless WAN. The WAN connects 48 buildings with a mix of 100Mbps, 600Mbps and Gigabit bridges. The dramatically increased capacity of the network allows the school to take full advantage of distance learning, remote storage, IPTV and VOIP. MapleNet provided a number of services to Paradise Valley Schools over the past three years of the project. Some of the services include:
- Full network design, capacity planning and engineering
- Site inspections and determination of physical installation requirements
- Tower site planning and development
- Development of full technical specifications for RFP
- Development of full construction specifications for RFP
- Interviews with hardware vendors
- Qualification of bidders
- Review of all RFP responses
- Construction management and inspections
- System commissioning
